Montessori Teacher Education Scholarship Opportunities

Pursuing Montessori teacher education is a meaningful investment in both your professional growth and the lives of the children and families you will serve. Scholarship and financial assistance opportunities are available to help aspiring Montessori educators achieve their goals.

Small School Scholarship

The Small School Scholarship is designed to support Montessori schools with limited staffing in providing high-quality professional development for their faculty. Schools employing six (6) or fewer full-time equivalent (FTE) faculty members are eligible to receive a $1,000 tuition scholarship for each adult learner who is 100% sponsored by the school.

This scholarship is applied as a $1,000 reduction to the total tuition and reflects MI-NE’s commitment to strengthening Montessori education by making teacher preparation more accessible to small, community-based schools. Eligibility is subject to verification of school size and full employer sponsorship at the time of enrollment.

MI-NE (formerly NCME-NE) Alumni Scholarship

The Alumni Scholarship recognizes the continued commitment of MI-NE graduates who choose to further their Montessori professional journey through additional credentials. As lifelong learners and valued members of the MI-NE community, alumni play an important role in strengthening Montessori education through ongoing growth and leadership.

Eligible alumni will receive a $1,000 tuition scholarship applied toward the total tuition of an additional MI-NE teacher education course.

Diversity in Montessori Scholarship

The Diversity in Montessori Scholarship supports educators who are committed to expanding access, representation, and belonging within Montessori education. This scholarship recognizes individuals whose work helps create more inclusive learning communities and increases opportunities for children and families from diverse backgrounds.

You may qualify if you:

  • Teach in a language other than English or in a dual-language Montessori program.
  • Serve culturally and linguistically diverse children and families.
  • Work in public Montessori, Head Start, or other non-profit in underserved communities.
  • Support multilingual learners and family engagement.

This $1,000 scholarship is applied toward the total tuition of an MI-NE teacher education program.
