Prepare the Adult. Honor The Child.

Since 1996, Montessori Institute – New England has prepared thoughtful, reflective, Montessori educators through high-quality teacher education designed for real life. We cultivate a learning community where inspiration, kindness, authenticity, curiosity, and respect for the adult learner create the conditions for meaningful professional and personal transformation.

What Makes MI-NE Different

A Model Designed for Real Life

At MI-NE, teacher education is not something you step away from life to pursue – it is woven into your work, your family, and your purpose.

Our blended model integrates:

  • Flexible asynchronous online coursework
  • In-residence (meeting in person) academic workshops
  • Embedded practicum experiences

This structure allows learning to move continuously between theory and practice, reflection and action.

A Rhythm That Honors the Adult Learner

MI-NE’s program calendar mirrors the academic school year, creating a natural rhythm that allows summer to become a time for rest and renewal, or an opportunity to prepare early through self-paced online coursework.

Our courses are intentionally designed to reflect both Montessori principles and the lived reality of adult learners.

  • Begin with self-paced online coursework that builds foundational knowledge.
  • Gather for immersive, collaborative academic workshops on Saturdays.
  • Apply your learning directly in a Montessori environment through the Practicum.
